Rebecca

Rebecca joined Wimberly’s Roots as a volunteer in 2026, supporting our farm team through December. She has since moved into main building operations, where she supports the outdoor gardens, demo kitchen classes, special projects, and coordinates our incredible volunteers.

As she continues this work into January and beyond, Rebecca’s hard work, bright spirit, and kindness help grow more than food — she helps grow the community. 🌱

Van

Van is the creative force behind our video tours and stunning photography. He joined Wimberly’s Roots in 2026 through the Barrow County Schools Work-Based Learning Program to explore his passion for videography and is now a part-time staff member at Winder Housing.

Van’s work goes beyond pictures — he captures the heart and mission of Wimberly’s Roots, the Wimberly Center for Community Development, and Winder Housing, sharing stories of community wellness, youth leadership, and healthy living.

Suzanne

Suzanne is the Community Engagement Coordinator for Wimberly’s Roots. She started as a volunteer in 2022 and has grown from part-time to full-time, bringing fresh energy to her home of Winder.

Suzanne manages efforts addressing food insecurity through healthy eating, oversees the community kitchen where local businesses grow their culinary dreams, and plans special events like the Wimberly Center Market, Annual Pollinator Census, and diabetes-friendly healthy eating programs.
