Community Farm

Wimberly’s Roots Community Farm grows fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables that nourish both people and purpose.  Our harvest supports culinary and nutrition education programs while helping make healthy, local food more accessible to our neighbors.

More than just a farm, our space is a  hands-on learning space where the community can connect through growing, serving, and sharing.   From volunteer opportunities to group workdays and educational events, there are many ways to dig in and make a difference.

All we Seed is Kindness

Kitty at Wimberly's Roots.png

If you’ve ever visited the farm or followed us on Facebook, you already know Kitty! She’s the heart and backbone of our farm operations — an incredible gardening instructor and the planner behind everything we grow.

Kitty first joined us as a volunteer in 2021, dedicating countless hours to helping our community learn, grow, and thrive.

Her leadership, green thumb, and unwavering commitment to growing more than just food — she’s helping grow our community. 💚

If you’ve been to the farm or followed our posts, you’ve probably seen Rebecca — maybe even spotted her pulling that giant summer carrot during Carrot Month! 🥕

Rebecca joined Wimberly’s Roots in  as a volunteer, eager to grow with us and support the community. In 2025  she took the next step by joining and officially becoming part of our farm team.

We’re so grateful for Rebecca’s hard work, bright spirit, and the way she helps grow not just food, but love and kindness too. 💚
