WELCOME

🌿 Welcome to Wimberly’s Roots Right Bite Cooking School

A Designated Self-Education Location for Diabetes Education in Barrow County

Wimberly’s Roots is proud to offer the Right Bite Cooking School Free to our community the third Thursday of each month, held from 5:30-6:30 PM in our beautiful demo kitchen.

Through support of  Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES),  this l health education program from the University of Georgia is designed to make healthy eating practical, accessible, and enjoyable.

As a Designated Self-Education Location, Wimberly’s Roots provides a welcoming place where community members can gain practical knowledge, build confidence, and develop skills that support healthier choices and everyday wellness.

Through Right Bite, participants receive hands-on nutrition education, cooking experiences, and practical tools for managing diabetes and reducing the risk of developing it. Our goal is to take what is learned in the classroom and bring it directly into the kitchen and everyday life.

At Wimberly’s Roots, we believe education is most powerful when people can learn it, cook it, taste it, and put it into practice together.

Healthy living begins in the kitchen—and grows in the community.
