Designated Service Provider for Diabetes Education in Barrow County

Wimberly’s Roots is proud to announce that the Right Bite Cooking School has been officially designated as a Designated Service Provider (DSP) for diabetes education in Barrow County, Georgia.

​

As a DSP, we play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey toward better health, independence, and lifelong wellness.   Our team works to empower community members—especially those managing diabetes or at risk of developing it—with hands-on nutrition education, cooking skills, and lifestyle guidance.

​

In the medical and wellness community, a DSP (Direct Support Professional) serves as a key partner in helping individuals, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, lead independent, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

 

Through this program, Right Bite brings this mission to life by blending evidence-based diabetes education with fun, accessible, and practical cooking experiences.
