About the Event

Before the Winder–Auburn Reservoir is completed in August 2027, Wimberly's Roots has received

a one-of-a-kind chance to gather rocks from the very bottom of this former quarry on Parks Mill Road—stones that have been part of this land long before its next chapter began. This 78-acre site is growing into a vital resource—one that will hold over a billion gallons of water to support our community for years to come. But right now, you can take home a little piece of its story.

Join us at the Farmer’s Market on May 9th to paint these historic rocks—turn them into colorful keepsakes, sweet gifts, or little treasures to hide and share.

💚 Each one carries a bit of where we’ve been… and where we’re headed.💚

🌱Come create, connect, and celebrate this special moment in Winder and Auburn history with us🌱
